Author and photographic artist, Victoria Medina, speaking from Battery Park, New York City, with The Statue of Liberty & Ellis Island in the b.g. – Part 3 of the introduction to her book “One Nation, One Mission, One Promise.”
Hi, Victoria Medina here, author of One Nation, One Mission, One Promise, the continuing journey of fulfilling the promises made on July 4, 1776.
In my last video I asked, “How can we celebrate what makes America great?”
I ask that question because as I said in the first video we seem to be inundated about all the things that highlight our differences and divide us.
Now I am not saying we should look at America through rose-colored glasses and not acknowledge our challenges, but why not also celebrate what we accomplished? Not just once a year on the 4th of July, or during special holidays, but each and every day to celebrate the gifts and treasures we have by living in this great country.
One Nation, One Mission, One Promise is simply reconnecting all of us to those sacred documents that we live under each and every day. We have come so far from that fateful day in 1776. You see, I believe that if we only focus on our problems we are always contracting, but if we come from a place of celebration we are far more connected to finding solutions, to aspiring to that wonderful phrase, “to form a more perfect union.”
Join me in my next video and please share with me what you think.
How can we find solutions and continue to aspire to form a more perfect union?
