EVERYONE HAS A VOICE

If we live in a fog of negativity we forget we have a voice that can be heard. If instead we can come from a place of positivity and possibilities, we can use our voice to be heard and then it’s amazing what can happen.

Watch this video and find out how I changed a subway rider’s experience by helping them realize they did have a voice that could be heard no matter what their circumstances.

A SUBWAY STORY

When we travel by public transport we are all exposed to an immense diversity of people and characters, and I’m sure we all have some interesting stories to tell. Well, here’s one that happened to me recently on the subway that left both me and the person I was talking to in a more positive frame of mind.

This lady was clearly very unhappy and railing against the world for anyone to hear. However, she felt like no-one was listening. Not surprising since we are all familiar with the experience of wanting to “turn a blind eye.” After all, there are so many crazies out there, you never know what you are dealing with!

So anyway, I decided to take a chance and talk to her, and it was amazing what happened. In fact it was so surprising and moving I decided to make a video to talk about it.

It reminded me that even if we can make a difference to someone’s life in some small way, it’s well worth it. Then imagine how if we did that on a consistent basis how much difference we could make in the world!

I hope you enjoy the video and please be sure to look out for our next participant in THE GREAT AMERICAN CHALLENGE later this week.

THE GREAT AMERICAN CHALLENGE is about what is great about America and how we can do better. It is about coming from a place of celebration, because if you only focus on a problem, or if you are negative, or angry, you can never find a solution because everything is always so dire, but if you honor, celebrate and appreciate all the beautiful and wonderful things this country, and everyone who lives in this country, have contributed, then we can find solutions together because we know if we solved a problem before we can face and solve the challenges of the future.

Until next time, go out each and every day and Capture the Spirit of Life with Passion!
